BEAUTIFUL FINISH SELECTIONS, materials, and architectural detailing plans spring from the interplay of a long list of elements, such as scale, geometry, texture, harmony, sheen, lighting, function, & sound.   Finishes are at the heart of DH Design's work.   Working within your project's parameters is commonplace for us as we creatively find the best answer to fulfill your design objective and budget requirements.

The kitchen at Hawthorne Apts., Mill Creek, WA, was updated with clean, bright quartzite countertops, removal of raised bar, iron & glass pendants, and sunny to-ceiling glass mosaic backsplash. Upper cabinets were eliminated to show off the stainless hood.

The newly constructed, private "Hangout" Cafe at The Kennedy Apts. (Seattle, WA) uses a mix of galvanized metal, concrete flooring, natural maple, custom mesh screen, and durable laminate countertops styled up with stainless edge and decorative fasteners.

The galvanized clad fireplace separates functions but hides a column and plumbing pipes.

Durability & visibility throughout drove many decisions.  Functions are separate but not private, including a large conference room connected with windows on 3 sides.

The 15 units of Towne Center Condominium (Redmond, WA) were each designed to reflect one of four popular American cities.  This kitchen, "Vegas", was finished with Black Galaxy granite and copper accented mosaic range backsplash.

Working with limited budget, DH Design brought modern function to Crown Pointe Apts. leasing office building. (Renton, WA) encumbering walls were removed and

spaces reprogrammed, allowing for the

addition of a business center, enlarged

fitness center (formerly a racquet ball

court), new hospitality bar, closing area,

and enlarged workstations.

Through the addition of oversized clouds, lighting, and the power of paint, the entry's awkward high ceiling is tempered.  In

combination with a new, reconfigured

stairway, the energy is now at guest level.

New finishes at the busy offices of Island Square Apartments (Mercer Island, WA) include the practicality of modular carpet, with an asymmetrical installation reflecting the community's sophistication.
